Why The Role Matters:
The Short Courses Administrator provides effective day-to-day administrative support within the Faculty Education Excellence and Innovation team to ensure all services are provided efficiently to meet the operating needs of The Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture The role reports to the Short Course Team Lead, supporting the short courses, lifelong and professional learning programs of various schools across the Faculty (This includes GERRIC suite of courses including student programs and some teaching related conferences.)
Accountabilities:

- Work with the Education Excellence and Innovation team, School leadership, relevant academics, and external stakeholders to support and deliver identified short course programs, professional development and lifelong learning events.
- Support the preparation, implementation and reporting related to each short course. This includes, but is not limited to marketing, communication, liaising with presenters, participants, and volunteers, event management, registrations, maintenance of databases, evaluation, microcredentialing and financial administration.
- Maintain and submit as required accreditation records/requirements of short course programs.
- Respond to in-person, telephone and email enquiries across multiple inboxes and initiate appropriate action, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Hands-on event support, including assistance with set up and pack down, stock monitoring, registrations, printing, catering support and logistical preparation. Event attendance outside of regular office hours will likely be required.

- Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the psychosocial or physical health and safety of yourself or others.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide superior customer service and support to clients at all levels
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team, preferably within a customer service environment.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
